On the opening spread I wanted to jump right into the idea of texture, so I chose a typeface that did just that. I balanced out the full colored images with a nice and light Helvetica Neue set tightly in the corner where the two images meet.
Throughout spread two I played with symmetry and kept color very minimal, only bringing it into the titles of the captions. Keeping the color minimal allowed the texture to be the main focus on the page.
I carried the concept of minimal color onto the next page using pops of color throughout my pull-quote, as I had done similarly on the previous spread in the captions.
INK to Paper
Three page spread I wrote and designed about different printing processes. Explored texture and layout techniques.
All images are manipulated and scanned from books I found throughout my research.
